EXPERIENCE OF MY CHARDHAM YATRA

I would like to share my personal experience of Chardham Yatra – first of all, I spent all most an hour to find a reliable Chardham tour operator for my spiritual journey in the Himalayas – I am very happy to inform you that I found Aananda Holidays on the basis of review as well as specialization of Uttarakhand. I found them very helpful throughout my tour – their tips and The design of the Char Dham itinerary was suitable for me and I found myself very comfortable. During the Yatra –You should start your journey every morning as early as possible because if you start late – your vehicle will be parked far as you know in mountain space are very limited –second – pony – Palki is also get expensive – as demand and supply rules. Second I would suggest everyone –don’t carry too much luggage on this tour because only a few places where you need worm cloths – otherwise normal outfit is fine.

For the Yamunotri – you need to either trek 5.5 Kms or hire Palki/pony – which is 2.5 kms is normal hiking and 3 Kms on the 45 degrees especially two patches are really hard to rest all manageable.

For Gangotri temple – vehicle reached till parking if you are able to reach early –otherwise, traffic get jam and you need to step out from the vehicle and almost 01 km walk on the parallel road through a small market.

Kedarnath is quite interesting because here you have two options – one by trek –second by helicopter. First I would like to explain about the helicopter – there are 03 different location for Kedarnath helicopter Booking– one location is Guptkashi from a ticket is most expensive as it is longest flight timing only 02 companies operate – second is Phata which is 14 Kms and from here 03 companies operate helicopter services for Kedarnath –and the price is also reasonable from here.  The last location for helicopter Booking is Sersi from here also 03 companies operate their services, so anyone can book helicopter tickets online on Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam website.

Second – if someone wants to go by trek/Palki/pony – so all vehicles are allowed till Sonprayag only from here everyone needs to go through medical check – after this you can find local Jeeps here for the next 03 km to reach Gaurikund – from here the trek start for the Kedarnath temple which is 17 Kms. Accommodations are very basic here – not a single accommodation provide running hot water and heater facility.

Last – The Badrinath Yatra – vehicles reach here till parking and only 500 to 600 meters walking distance, after Darshan – please don’t forget to explore the Mana village is just 03 km from here – the last village in India.

In this Yatra we are able to see Panch Prayag (5 confluence of Rivers) – this part of Himalaya is really beautiful but the most important – your driver should be experienced and well aware about the area and points – so that – you will not face any difficulty to explore the points because your internet will not work smoothly in the mountain – so the driver is very important.

So it was my personal experience of my Chardham Yatra.
